"Exploring the Legacy of Mysore Silk at KSIC" - Industry Visit

BIM had  organized an industrial visit to Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation (KSIC), Mysore, on 26th March 2025 to provide students with an understanding of the silk manufacturing process and the operations of a government-owned textile industry.

The visit helped students in understanding of the silk manufacturing process and its complexities, importance of quality control in textile production,The role of technology in improving efficiency while preserving traditional techniques as such..

It was an opportunity to witness firsthand how a traditional craft is being preserved while adapting to modern advancements.
